In a randomized 2026 preprint, 52 developers learning the Trio library with AI scored 13.5 out of 27 on an immediate unaided quiz versus 17.65 without AI. The largest gap was in debugging. The study tests skill formation while learning a new library.

Across more than 880,000 texts, LLM-assisted rewriting reduced variation in writing complexity by 21–50% across datasets and models, while also shifting cues associated with author characteristics. More fluent language can still carry less individual signal.

In a preregistered debate study with 900 participants, personalized GPT-4 was more persuasive than humans 64.4% of the time when the two were not equally persuasive. Personalization changed how effectively the system could move a person.
